“Looking at superyacht designs, I realised that some of the most important ones were big on power, big on mass but short on grace. That’s why I took my inspiration from the horse’s speed, power and endless grace.”
Marco Casali explains the concept behind the Ribot 85, named after one of the greatest racehorses of all time. To strike a delicate balance between the aforementioned power and grace, the designer redistributed the volumes, trimming them in the upper decks but retaining them in the lower ones to bring the centre of gravity down. Three different shades of grey in the livery underscore the Ribot’s volumes and define its decks.
